there's the possibility of a protective role in the game, though, so her claiming with someone she is 80%+ certain is scum from a report doesn't seem strange to me

Kinda interested to know what exactly it is that made Alison so certain from the start that TopSecret is scum, but also don’t want to go down the rabbit hole of her exposing more than she needs to and then potentially we end up not being able to get more info out of whatever her role is.

that being said, I think topsecret must be aware of whatever Alison’s information is? I think the way he has been playing the game when reading back is just... open wolfing? I think Alison even SAID that topsecret knows how Alison knows in an earlier post. Which makes me wonder: is it possible that topsecret was being bussed earlier? He almost certainly is now, but what about before? Did he learn immediately that Alison somehow checked him? Is it an assumption? Could wolves/mafia have extra information? I think a close examination of people and how they reacted to TopSecret before the mechanical knowledge was revealed is a good idea.

I actually didn't see it as her claiming immediately though? She outed a scumread on topsecret immediately but only claimed/hard-softed her role when she was being pressured about her certainty

I'm not afraid of a nightkill here. I've already given you a ton of information and even informed you who the followup exe should be on if topsecret flips scum. I've also given you guys up-to-date readslists that you will know are made in good faith if I get killed at night. If scum want to shoot me, feel free; I've already dumped all the stuff I know on the table and they aren't getting rid of any information by killing me. If anything they're verifying that the source of the information is trustworthy. If both mafia teams shoot me on N1 and save the town a kill, so much the better.

But that's the thing, even without claiming, most were digging it, and she doesn't look like a new player, so any excuse would be better and claiming pr, imo

But I know you are wrong about me, so how can I be sure you are not wrong about the rest, so you dying:
a) removes a or from the game that can be extremely useful if you are town
b) creates a cover to follow a path that will probably kill town in a tight game

So I can't see how this will help in the long run, TS should have been D2, not D1.

That's not true. Shady actively refused to vote topsecret until I said I had reasons to believe that topsecret is scum. I had a high chance of dying at night anyway because I was a universal townread, so it makes complete sense to dump all my info while I still can.

That's not true. Shady actively refused to vote topsecret until I said I had reasons to believe that topsecret is scum. I had a high chance of dying at night anyway because I was a universal townread, so it makes complete sense to dump all my info while I still can.

I said most, and the thing is you don't need all votes and with no other suspect, maybe Tim to an extend, I don't see the point of doing all this just to convince one player.

It is absurd to go into night phase with a universal townread on you without unveiling that you have a good reason to suspect a player. That is just courting disaster. The way I did this is correct because it means there is no scenario where scum come out ahead. Either they leave me alive to kill more scum, or they kill me and confirm all my information, which should lead to the execution of at least one more scum given how much I've given to you. A 1 for 1 trade is already a good deal for town. A 2 for 1 trade, which I think happens in all scenarios where I get nightkilled, is excellent. I'll take that trade any day of the week.

And you might be correct, but claiming this early gave mafia 24 hours to plan something.

I was planning to claim it 12 hours before EoD, which maximizes the time to get info from people while they're unaware of my claim, but also leaves enough buffer for a consolidation of votes onto topsecret.
