Smooth Difficulty is a mod that aims to distribute the difficulty more equally across the different stage. In standard game, IA has a very strong start and rapidly fall off. I don't touch the AI, and I want to keep the rule the closer to the standard rule.
Changes:
Reduce early game power:
No Bonus Settler
Halved Number of Starting Military Unit.
No more Tech or Civic boost per Era.
Combat adjustment
Increase of 1 in Combat Power. Humans can manage way better, battle.
City State also get the bonus of Combat Power.
Delaying free power into late game:
Modifier of Production/Gold adjusted at 16% + 2% per era per difficulty above prince.
Modifier of Science/Culture/Faith adjusted at 8% + 1% per era per difficulty above prince.
Helping IA to get powerful cities:
Add a modifier of growth of 5% per difficulty above prince.
Add a modifier of food of 1% per era per difficulty above prince.
Add 1 Food (resp 1 production, 1 housing) in all city for king (resp emperor and immortal).
Bonus of 1 amenities in all city per two difficulties above prince.
I also added 1 difficulty (why not?, I still have to take care of the icon).
PS: Modifications are focus on ancient era start, but there shouldn't be any major problem for another start.

Increase resource extraction for IA.
