Make those useless techs more useful

I was thinking about the benefits of being an aggressive Civ vs. playing the builder. One of the most obvious benefits of aggression is the generation of GL. Now, there have been previous threads devoted to the creation of non-military leaders, and I thought to myself, "Why not use some of those useless techs to generate Civil or Religious leaders?"

Here is the idea:

Some of those useless techs that have no buildings, orders, wonder etc could spawn a Gl for the first civ to research it. Examples would be:

Philosophy: Plato, Aristotle
Polytheism: Jesus, Muhammed
Printing Press: Gutenberg

This would make the race to research such a wonder very heated, and would give a builder/scientific oriented player the benefit of a GL.

There should be GREAT LEADERS, such as you mentioned.

And GREAT MILITARY LEADERS such as Alexander, Hannibal, Caesar, Frederick the Great, etc.

Napoleon was so capable he could be both a GL and a GML.

GML would give a combat bonus to any STACK, but we don't have stack combat either.

All good ideas. Firaxis will never bother.

BTW, Jesus and Mohammed would be after MONOtheism, not Poly.
