If this is in the wrong forum, then sorry.

I'm going to be making a scenario for Civilization IV: Warlords where you can play as either Edward III of England, David II of Scotland (Robert the Bruce was alive for only two years after Edward became King of England), or Charles V of France. The game begins in 1327 (When he was made King), and ends in 1377 (When he died)

I'll be using the map that comes with the Warlords Viking scenario (British Isles, Francia, and a tiny bit of Norway)

Now, it's all going great and all (I haven't started on making the scenario in the game yet), but I just need to know two things, really.

The thing is, the best map I have of Scotland (here) details the British Isles in the year 1400. That is 27 years before Edward became King. And, since Robert the Bruce happend to be a great warrior, well, yeah...

If anyone can give me info on Scotland circa 1327, then that'd be great.

Another is Ireland. I know that Edward had control over a bit of it (Lord of Ireland and all), but what about the other parts? (I'm going to assume Ireland wasn't completely controlled by Edward)

These are the current nations I got so far:

England: King Edward III
Scotland: King David II
Principality of Wales: Prince Edward (Vassal to Edward III)
Marcher Wales: Marcher Lord (Minor civ)
Norway: King Magnus Eriksson
France: King Charles V

Don't you mean circa 1327?

In 1327 the Bruce was still invading the North of England as a result of English pirates and didn't really stop until the Northhamption-Edinburgh treaty of 1328 however this treaty grated Edward III quite badly and almost as soon as the Bruce died he was able to get out of it.

After that, the majority of the time period you've mentioned was taken up by the 'Second War of Independence' where Edward Ballio (aided by Edward of course) attempted to take the throne from David II. So I think Ballio really should get some form of mention in this scenario. Edward never openly invaded Scotland until after Ballio scored a series of victories and he got worried that Ballio would take these successes and invade northern England.

All this is coming from memory so it may be sketchy but England's rule over Ireland wasn't exactly total. After the Bruce's successes in Scotland he attempted to get his brother instated as King of certain parts of Ireland (again from memory so I'm not exactly sure) after this met with little success he ended up invading and his brother was even made High King of Ireland. I am 'assuming' that by the time your scenario comes into effect that there would still be a Scottish presence left in Ireland but you'd really need to check that.

That would be "Baliol", right?:scan::)

England: Edward III
Scotland: David II
Principality of Wales: Prince Edward (Vassal to Edward III)
Norway: Magnus Eriksson
France: Charles V
English Scotland (Not sure what to name this): Edward Balliol
(Rest all minor civs)
Airgíalla: Murchad Mor mac Briain
Breifne: Ualgarg mac Domnaill Charraig
Connacht: Tairdelbach mac Aedh Ua Conchobair
Leinster: Domhnall mac Art MacMurrough-Kavanagh
Mide: Art More mac Cormac
Moylurg: Maelruanaidh MacDermot
Tir Eogian: Enri mac Brian meic Aeda Buide
Marcher Wales: Marcher Lord

What should be done? Should some minor civs be barbarians? Etc. I think having friggin 7 different nations on Ireland, on a map that's size in the game is "Tiny" is a bit much, yes?

Acording to Wikipedia:
# Kings of Airgíalla - a federation of nine kingdoms in central Ulster.
# Kings of Breifne - an expansionist kingdom of Connacht, separating Ulster and Leinster.
# Kings of Tir Eogain - a successor kingdom of Ailech; dissolved in 1607.
# Kings of Leinster - Its last de facto king died in 1632.
# Kings of Mide - Ireland's central kingdom, annexed by Connacht in the 11th century.
# Kings of Moylurg - created in the 10th century for a prince of the Sil Muiredaig.
# Kings of Connacht - all the land west of the Shannon except Thomond; its last king inaugurated 1643, and its dynasty still survivies, among the most ancient in Europe.
