Howdy,

I made a custom map & mod and set victory conditions to domination victory only.

I have uranium and completed the tech for Manhattan and A bomb (and actually the next tech after that).

In my city production screen the Manhattan Project is grayed out!

Any thoughts? Is it grayed out for the other civs too? (If so thats not so bad I guess).

I didn't see any way in the Tuner to address this.

Thanks in advance for any advice or education on this problem.

When you mouse over the Manhattan Project in the production menu, you should see the reason why you can't build it.

All OTHER wonders in the list do show the reason they cannot be built in red. The Manhattan Project shows no reason or any red text at all, only the white text about ~ allows your civ to make bombs and missiles.

Edit: as a test I granted all techs to my Civ with the tuner. No change (except the Sydney Opera House became available).

We'll probably need the mod to work out what you've done wrong. You can zip it up (from the mods sub-directory) and attach it to a post.

BTW, questions go in the main forum, and not in the Reference and Tutorial sub-forum (which is for reference works) - I've flagged this to the mods for being moved

Oh no!!

I am a total . The game just announced I completed the Manhattan Project, so I must have had it going on somewhere and not realized it.

I apologize. I feel terrible.

There seems to be nothing wrong with the map, so I can only assume you have other mods installed which are causing the problem

It should have told you something like "only one per civilization" in the mouse-over

The Manhattan Project is a Project, not a Building (which Wonders are categorized under). It uses an entirely different block of UI code, and a lot of the usual error messages aren't duplicated for Projects, which tend to be a lot less complicated. It's something I've fixed in my own mod, because I have things like a Project that you can build 10 of, and Projects with much more complex requirements than those in the vanilla game.

There are a lot of similar things, where the core game doesn't include an error message for certain bits. For instance, you can make a Policy require a specific Technology, and I use this heavily in my Ascension mod. However, the core game does not have a message when mousing over a tech-limited Policy that tells you why you can't unlock it yet, and the core game also doesn't put an icon for that Policy in the tech tree. I've since fixed both of those for my own mods, but the point is, the current vanilla UI does the bare minimum internally, only enough to support the current vanilla game and DLCs and nothing else.
