Manifest Destiny - Have we accomplished it?

In the US, Manifest Destiny was our justification for pushing to the Pacific. Phoenatica has done this (pushed to the other coast). We now control a large amount of territory; probably enough to build our optimal number of cities in optimal locations.

Should we consider our Manifest Destiny met? If not, how far should we go?

I feel we should just take a little more of the southern Territory. Colonize the Area between us and Rome, and at least half of Egypt, if not all. Then I will concider our Manifest Destiny satisfied.

I can say yes or no, because in my opinion its is ongoing, but up until this point it has suceeded beautifully. So for the sake of the poll I voted yes!

Not quite. We should push further south, both for security reasons (more buffer between our southern enemies and our capital), and because they should be close enough to our capital to be not as corrupt. I leave the definition of our Southern Security Zone up to our military department, but I would guess one more line of cities would be enough. Also, as mentioned, we should do it as quickly as possible, while we still have Immortals. IF we happen to destroy some more Egyptians on the way, so much the better!

We should build our forbidden palace in Hamurabi's capital. Then we shall have fulfilled our destiny!

I agree with Justus... I think the empire would be best served by expanding south of Fox's Nest and wresting control of those two spice tiles from the Egyptians. Longer term I'd be in favour of pushing the empire down to the Egyptian river and gaining all that lovely ivory and hopefully increasing the chances of gaining access to saltpetre in the second half of the middle ages.

I think we should expand farther south along the new coast, at least 7 squares into egyptian territory.

I voted no. I don't believe we've fought enough battles to choose between for writing the Great Epic. Let's take out the Egpytians, the Greeks, the Romans, and the Aztecs. Then let's look at the Babs and the Chinese just to make them tremble.
