Hey, nice map. We do have alot of Ultima Player around.

It looks pretty much the same except that UO version has a few new islands. Nuljem is one of them. And Magincia is much bigger than the tiny island that I remember in U4. ;)

What I love about the Ultima Series is that the map is always pretty consistent. I remember when I first started UO 4 years ago, I actually took someone I met for a trip around the land in the first week (he was already playing a week before me...hehe) :cooool:

Well, since the timeline of Ultima Online does NOT exactly fit into a specific time era in the Ultima Universe, it will be VERY hard to just make a map of Sosaria (although I congradulate you on your good work :goodjob: )

Oh, btw, I've got like WAY TOO MUCH knowledge on the history of Sosaria.. We are working on a free shard project right now, and a website that is joint to the shard is being made by my team... We still have a free shard open for Turkish players. There were times we got like 500 players playing at the same time, but now it is only 150, since the new project will be bug-free and we are mostly working on that. There are other shards in Turkey which get like 400 hits on average at any given time. For more info, check http://www.sanane.net

Here is a good UO map to work with

After playing on the map, I have a few gripes. :crazyeye:

It was extremely easy for all of the civs on the mainland to get all 8 luxury resources. I only had to trade for one (started near Trinsic), the English one (started near Yew), and the Americans one (started near Minoc), and the Romans one (started near Britain). I only get the option to trade ones to the island starters. Although, it is nice to have size 12 cities with no unhappiness. :)

The map appears squished. The west coast of Britannia isn't nearly that slanted. Dagger Isle and Verity Isle should also be more vertical, extend further south, and larger... Moonglow is even with Britain in latitude according to my U7 map). The Isle of the Avatar is kinda small (a civ should start there instead of Bucaneer's Den... or that island to the east of it, what is that, Magincia or Isle of Fire?).

I also downloaded a copy of a C64 Ultima IV for free (I thru VI are available). Of course, I play it with an emulator on my PC, but it's free and has the music (I love the tune while you walk through Britannia), unlike my PC version.

I wanna see a Serpent Isle map. A map of each of the Ultima I continents would be cool too. Ultima III's map was dumb... too much like a box.

I allso played UO a couple of years ago on Atlantic :) . I had a GM smith called Malachai and a warrior called Dnalnif.I begun to play befor there were any servers outside USA thats why I played on Atlantic even thou Im from Europe :) . But I sold my account, sadly I have to say that Im glad that I quit UO just befor the trammel thing, they screwed up one of the greatest games quite badly.

hi aaglo,

it looks like you found what you're looking for! Do give a shot at my ultima scenario and tell me if you like it.

aaglo,

It's certainly not impossible to play my scenario. You play as Lord British and the capital Britain and Lord British Castle are difficult to fall to the AI because it is well defended with heroes like the Avatar, Iolo and LB himself there. It will only look scary as you're engage from multiple points but ...it's survivable. There will come a time when you certainly be ready :)
