OMHO I would take Regent, as it is sort of the "neutral" option with no bonuses to us or the AI (barbs).

I agree with Wizard, Regent is the best because it is the most fair.

Since there are no AI involved(except barbs), I believe that Regent will give everyone a chance to maximise their potential. This will make for an interesting game for all.
