the maps are smaller and taking over a continent is alot harder then in civ2, maybe just me who dont know all i should know yet but hey
it seems like a whole other game to me

Anyway, yes, it's a whole other game.
religions, promotions, colateral damage, diplomacy, maintenance, ... among other things are really different.

How can Civ4 maps be smaller than Civ2 maps? Surely you haven't tried Huge Terra yet?

Civ3 had the biggest maps. They were fricken huge.

But yeah Civ2 maps aren't that big, though ToT's multi map option was pretty cool. Allowed for a multi-theatre WW2 scenario
