its bad enough that the profanes can create impassable flaming deserts, to allow them the ability to hide in them from creation would be a bit much (however you can still turn them into demons if you desire).

I think they are balanced pretty well... my only problem is that they work so hard to get to the apocalypse... when they finaly get there the dragon has a 50/50 shot of getting killed.

There are two obvious solutions to this:

1. never ever build the dragon preapocalypse.
or
2. make him a demon-dragon. hell yeah! who wouldn't want a demon dragon?

Give them the demon promotion. Of course, I believe that both demon and dragon are racial promotion, so one would be removed if you add the other. That probably wouldn't happen if the unit started with both though.

You could also make Dragons be considered Not Alive. They are deific superweapons, after all.

lichs are undead, but demons are not alive.

an undead dragon would be cool too. but the artwork would probably have to be changed. it could allready be a demonic dragon by the looks of it... maybe slap a purple glow on it or something... blamo... demon dragon.

If you are willing to risk it, you can make your dragon a demon by having it read the infernal grimore (I'ts also nice to do with adepts and priests before you upgrade them)
