I'd quite like to post the quicktopic, but would like choxorn's permission to do so. If he agrees then he can do it. (Don't need Omega's, he never posted on there.)
Some comments:
And it's not like Omega was helping us much with his random, unexplained voting and little activity, or his refusal to communicate in our quicktopic thread or do much in our PM's to him.
Y'know, I think Omega might well have worked stuff out that we hadn't, but was keeping very quiet about it (because 'QuickTopic is for squares' of course - that was one of the weirdest PMs I've ever received). Our original plan for the endgame was to under no circumstances accuse Love, because if I died (which I was expecting to) people could link Love to the 'Telltale Heart' reference in the same way that they linked me to 'The Raven', so we needed him kept alive.
Naturally, Omega accuses Love straight away. But it turns out that Love was the most threatening character in the endgame, and the planned bandwagon on Omega forced us to infect Love instead of our planned infection (Seon), so he really helped us out there, it turns out. He's probably from the future or something.
Even more so when Cath claimed to be a protecter yet not getting killed my the mafia.
"Oh really, that makes me suspicious, does it? Take a look around you, Snerk, and tell me how many people have been nightkilled so far. We aren't dealing with a standard mafia enemy here, Snerk, and you know that very well, don't you! I know it 'cause I can count the number of night kills on one finger.
*raises middle finger at Snerk*"
That's what I would've said. That would have definitely got me killed.
You had us scrambling to get rid of you when you voted for choxorn without explanation. We assumed that the man in the peacock hat shouting at Keir Satchel in the first update was a prophet who had scanned chox, and were on the lookout for anyone who voted for him - hence our desperate attempts to get you lynched and out of the way, although the planned second-day lynch didn't work out because I stupidly accused civplayah (who turned out to be the peacock-hat man, so all's well that ends well).
So all we actually had this game was voting patterns and the Red Mask to go on?
Well, there were three prophets (although one was inactive). And the red mask was a pretty big clue, I thought. Red mask, Masque of the Red Death, red blood on sprig's face when he died - all clues that I was really afraid someone would eventually pick up on.
Also, I can't say I expected Catharsis to just claim an ability like that. He got very lucky that aspie wasn't active in that since I'm sure two roleblockers would have raised some eyebrows
I wasn't claiming roleblocker dangit! That's two people who've said I claimed roleblocker to add to one who said I claimed prophet... what I was claiming was
doctor. But I was tiptoeing around the word doctor because in a game where the enemy is a disease, there was bound to be one of some description somewhere (and there was - Love). Also I claimed doctor in the last game, too, truthfully that time, but since people were being lynched for claiming that they couldn't be mafia twice in a row, it wouldn't have been wise to bring that up.
The ability claim was the only thing I could have done to keep Team Red Death in the game. I'd already tried to shrug off the accusations (because they were mostly based on the raven thing, which was 'raven' mad) and even used that coffee smiley, but people weren't biting. And I wasn't going to leave choxorn and Omega to survive, like, eight straight lynchvotes without a kill ability.
BTW this is the first time I've claimed a false ability. Even in ATPG's Monty Python mafia, where I was a serial killer, the ability I claimed was correct ('unkillable', not 'serial killer', I'm not that stupid). It's tiring and unpleasant and I hope not to have to do it again for some time.
Well speaking up and say that i was a doctor and the biggest enemy to the mafia would get them on my throat big time. I probably would have said something if you guys were about to lynch a known innocent...
We had already infected you by that time.
