Massive Gold increase - despite bugetary deficit

Ok I know there is a debate about there being too much gold in the game... fair enough. However I am experiencing a bug that is sucking the challenge out of an otherwise wonderful mod:

Although I have about -700 deficit, (100% research) my gold levels increase at a rate of about 50000 every turn - NO IDEA where that money comes from.

This would obviously be a good thing in real life (would it?) but it really makes the whole thing too easy.

Any advice?
 
Lol good old capitalism logic: money attracts money. Once your interest/turn is above your deficit/turn you will never get money problems again, unless your deficit is gets larger than the interest which may happen due to inflation at that point. But I am unsure if this barrier is already in place. If you post a save Koshling can determine and balance that eventually.

Post a savegame we'd like to see this. By the way what version are you playing? Using the SVN?

Are you getting overflow gold? Overflow production gets converted into gold. If you are far enough into the game to get Fusion Power running and aren't queuing buildings, that causes gold to skyrocket.

Another thing to know is that gold from Wembley Stadium does not appear in your profit/loss numbers. I think the code can't see it because it's a Python change.
