all of a sudden I have a massive jump in unhappiness. Also it won’t go away no matter how many policies, happy buildings I make. Is this a known issue?

Also perhaps more information like captured screenshot, settings, or any other. It will help reaching conclusion faster.

Ok. Here are the mods I’m using. Which logs should I attach and where do I find them.

I tried going back and making different moves but the issue came back any way. I may be able to find a save just b4 it happened and a turn later, but it was long ago in the game because I thought I could build out of it.

It would take forever given how long it takes to reload each save

Please, more info.
Turn and date. What does the happiness tooltip say? Can you identify the cities that cause most unhappiness? Number of cities? Number of puppets? Resistance in conquered cities? Wars?

For massive happiness problems the usual suspects are:
Religion in Renaissance.
War weariness in Modern.
Ideological pressure in Industrial
Massive puppet empire any time.
And the general effect of undeveloped growth and technologies.

Agreed. What @tu_79 said is very much the primary information we need. We need you to hover on the happiness tooltip and take a screen shot for perhaps like, 5 to 10 turns so that everyone can analyze what is the cause of your happiness problem.

FYI I’m playing on a Mac using bootcamp. I don’t know how to take a screenshot shot in bootcamp windows because the keyboard shortcuts aren’t available because the keys don’t exist .

I never experienced something like this. The amount of unhappiness for me was never in negative value like yours in -7. And the total value, assuming it is correct, 7 + -7 is not 51. I only use Vox Populi modpack + really advanced setup.

Here's what my screen looks like in one of my game:

I expect that your tooltip should have shown something similar to mine. Without that kind of detailed information I can only say that you have installation bug. Is this you first time encounter such situation?

What’s a tool tip?

The game has been working well for me. I added two more Mods, unlimited barbarian experience and expanded civilopedia for this game.

Tool tip in this case is the happiness tool tip. It is a breakdown of your Empire happiness. Essentially the screen shot I take and the second picture you took.

I expect your happiness tool tip shows the breakdown of unhappiness source like boredom, illiteracy, poverty, war weariness, etc so we can see how much of those unhappiness source contribute towards total Empire unhappiness. But apparently, for some reason, your happiness tool tip shows lack of information. Try to compare side by side our two pictures, you will see that my picture have more information in it. That's the kind of information we need to look at in your picture.

Yes. Yours has lots more information.

But what I have must be a bug. THe information was there before the unhappiness started to grow no mater what I did.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Well, your crime is 125. That's huge. Have you ever built a wall?
Urbanisation is also high. It comes from specialists. Good news is that you can stop working some specialist slots. I'm not sure, but some of that urbanisation unhappiness may be higher than normal due to war weariness. You need to chill out for a while. Rebuild some of your recent conquests. In 30 turns you'll be fine.
