Because libruries are mostly built by libruls who want government to pay their books, this Great Librury must have contained much of biased lefty writings (and most of academics are commies anyways). Therefore the librury was probably destroyed by some conservative? Perhaps by Augustus when he was bringing democracy to Egypt.

We don't know exactly what the library contained, but we can safely assume it contained many books that were extant at the time it was established, that we no longer have. We can also assume that it contained many Latin and Greek texts written after its establishment. Probably a fair few Egyptian and Persian ones also.
