Max # of Players in CivMods

The past few weeks i've been creating a complex european map in the civ3 conquests editor, but the max number of players is 31. Is there any way to have more than 31 players or at least more than 31 civs in a game? I'm new to this forum and fairly new to creating mods so i don't know this stuff.

AFAIK 32 is all the game can do and 1 is reserved for barbs. I thought I had read that someone had altered the code to allow more, but I could be confused. I would search and post in the creation forum to check with the experts.

I think vxma is remembering incorrectly, or at least I have never heard of anyone who got around the 32 civ limit.

So, as far as I know 32 (2^5) is the limit (1 is barbs).
