I am playing a game as the Mayans, I got a real good start with three gem titles in the capitol. I started to reserch BW and found no bronze, Reserched AH, no horses and then I reserched IW and I found Iron but the title was wery far away, it was a troublesom way to go there but I took a chans and was three turns away to being blocked by a roman settler who settled on a tiny land mas, A great block city by the romans, but to bad for them i was there three turns before

So whats the point you say, holkans don't need metals? true... I didn't thougt i whod to need those, but the romans got ivory and the only counter against war elephants is war elephants or holkans, they have 4 in strength and 100% vs. mounted units, thats 8 and war elephants have 8 plus 10% in strength and is 8,8. so thats 8 vs. 8,8. not to bad.
A long story short i,m in the midle of the war right now and at this point it's cats, axes and holkans vs. prats, war elephants and longbows. and I am winning.
