Ted

Thanks. I kept an eye on the graph and it showed a statisfying curve. :)

Those AI are getting very rich instead of using the funds in a sensible way. And they keep warring, although none is getting anywhere. As good as no cities are changing hands, all the wars are overseas.

Ill refrain from the obvious reply... this time :D

I'm off now see ya tomorrow.

Ted

Aaargghh.... I didn't realise I was up in this game :o

1840AD:

I don't know what to do to get them researching. I gave Persia 500gpt and a shed load of luxes and they are not spending it. Greece are spending some.

Don't know what else to try. 1000gpt?

Here is the <<save>>.

You have the patience of a saint MB. :goodjob:

Yeah, they seem to be stuck on a 14-turns-per-tech rate. Maybe we should take desperate measures and start to kill some of the hangers on to feed the ones that are still researching. IMHO those are Egypt, Greece, Korea and Persia. Would make the reports more interesting too. ;)

I hate to say it, but space is probably right that we need to knock out some of the straggler AIs. Isn't there some rule that the cost of techs goes down whenever a civ is killed?

Is Babylon still around? I think they have an island city somewhere. If anyone, we should finish those guys off. Then maybe the Vikings since they should be rather weak.

I agree. Lets switch to producing military and start working towards the domination limit. Scandinavia first. I also saw the babylonian galleon with their settler towards our Southeastern Mainland. If we can find it then that would be good. Scandinavia - yes they should go as they seem to be the focus of a lot of the wars. That should keep the next couple of players happy.
Then we can see where we go from there.

After looking at the game, I have some ideas:

1. Babylon has one city far to the Southeast. Send one Transport full of Tanks/MIs and they're done for.

2. We should cut off all ties with Korea and stop wasting our money on them. They are losing BADLY, especially against Egypt it would seem.

3. Scandinavia probably would make a good target. We all ready have lots of troops sitting right next to them. They contribute nothing and only agitate other nations into war. I say we conquer them and gift all of their cities to some other civ.

Whose turn is it anyway?

Ted is UP.

I agree with all your points Hooray. I did not deal with Kprea or the Mongols on my turn. I would go Babylon, Vikings, Korea (and gift to Egypt) then Mongolia and gift to Persia. In that order. If Ted finds himself at a loose end after doing that then he'll just have to wing it from there. ;)

Got it

The only AI contributing to research are Egypt, Greece & Persia as far as I can tell.

If I were playing solo I would sign MAs with Egypt vs Aztec, Persia vs Iroquois and Greece vs Scandinavia. Then shift down a gear to Monarchy, wipe out the non-contributors and gift any cities captured to the respective MA partner involved.

I'd end up with the three most useful AI bigger and stronger, past their OCN and better able to research peacefully. The other dead wood AI, Mongolia & Babylon could probably do with being removed as well leaving Korea with perhaps a split empire (Mongolian territory).
Well there's the basis of my plan :)
