how do i know if the media pack is installed correctly? does it change the open menu screen music? because i still have the CIV IV song play, and why is the background of the menu say it think masters of magic II?

you can easily tell if the media pack is installed by watching the intro movie that plays at the start of every game ( i.e. right before the "dawn of man" screen ) . if the mediapack is installed correctly, the movie ( slideshow actually ) has a lot more "frames" than the one you had before.
