MegaBomb Explosion flc and Sound

This Explosion was first submitted by "A Viking Yeti" in November and basic Credit for it goes to him. I added more frames and color, made changes to all frames and Created a sound for it.

If you need or want a Different Explosion for your Bombs, Missiles or another Weapon such as a Spaceship...this Explosion is for you.

I agree unscratchedfoot. Use this any way you like but do try it out with the Sound because it has a much better Effect in the Game than it appears as a .gif here. I am now using it with my Long Range "Cruise Type" Missile Attacks...........FLASH-BOOM! hahahaaa.

A nice futuristic weapon. Look good in a Star Wars scienario.
 
A Viking Yeti, No Problem and Glad you approve...If you make a new Storyboard in Flicster and compare it to your Original, you can see the changes to the frames. I also added 4 more frames to allow the dissipation at the end to be a little longer. The animation is a little faster in the game than here on the .gif so the "Flash" of the Explosion looks better.

Anyway, because it was made starting from your Original, it is Only Fair that you have that credit. BTW, I tried it as all white with no color in the game and decided it looked better with some Orange/Yellow color and the Blue/White seems to convey a sort of Advanved High Tech Energy. Explosions in the game can use some exciting changes and differences. Merely changing the Impact Explosion Animation and Sound of an existing Exploding Unit makes that Unit More Fun to use in the game. Perhaps other players want more variety as well and welcome such new additions for their Units.
 
Here is a Missile that I am currectly using with the MegaMissile Explosion and Sound. This uses Pesoloco's Penguin Missile as a Cruise Missile. All Files included except the Read for the Pedia.txt
...includes a Read Me with some suggested Settings. Improved the Sound Loop for the Missile Run so it will work better with any distance used without the "Snaps and Pops". Enjoy

Before, when I was making the animations, I had an older version of FLICster; this version didn't have the ability to change the animation length (length in time, not frames). So, when I made the final .flc the time, for some odd reason, was set to 0. In game, which I didn't bother to check since I was just fooling around and wasn't actually planning on using the animations, it only displayed the first frame. By the time I had FLICster updated, I had forgoten all about the animation. Though, I am going back to redo the nuclear explosion, only 'cause someone asked me to, and I have nothing better to do. I never added color since my programs messed up the palette, which I did not know how to fix at the time, and the colors came out looking funny ("funny" would be an understatement, honestly). Actually, some of the colors in the original were civ-specific, which looks cool but isn't very realistic.
