Has anyone ever played an MP game where two human-run civs created a mutually beneficial relationship? For example, The Greeks are in Republic/Democracy and they pump science and they gift-tech each new advance to the Romans, who are Communist/Fundy and they supply units to defend the Greek cities. the Greeks would have maybe one unit of their own in each city (because allied units cannot enter foreign cities) and the Romans would be in fortifications surrounding the Greek cities. Thus the Romans gain tech like a democracy while providing for the defense of the Greeks by sharing their large army with them. Also in Alliance, if an allied unit 'bumps' an allied city, it heals fully, thus getting quick healing for Roman defenders who are under attack.
