Merchant ships

There are a lot of unique merchant ships. Yet they are all pretty much useless.

AFAIK they only do trade missions which give coins.

Can they be changed that some do food, some do hammers and maybe some do gold.
And maybe some provide immigrants or slaves?

It would make those unique units usefull and very flavourful.
New world settlements are exactly the cities you want to jumpstart and help out with supplies.

Like the cultural merchants and entertainers, these are known underdeveloped because more dynamics are coming for naval merchant units than what currently exists, and Sparth just basically made them with some minor variations and after recosting some of those might've been inadvertently erased as cost might've been the factor that some varied on. But you have some good ideas... will have to see how those may work. Adding transportation for captives could be an interesting option for some.
