Mic5 - The Butt Kisser

Perhaps add a rule about if you ever capture a city that at one point belonged to america, you have to gift it back to them at first oppurtunity (same turn unless you are at war with america, as part of peace deal if at war).

We have 5 players and I'll hopefully start this tonight.

@grahamiam: if you want you can take a 6th slot, please let me know. It would be good to have you!

@Aggie: what, even this variant isn't enough to make you SG again? :)

Great idea. I'll add it.

Everyone please read the rules again.

Brilliant!

But can we hold it for them for a while, if for example there is an enemy SOD at the gates and we have an army that can defeat it, it wouldn't be nice for us to gift the city and watch it get burned down one turn later...

4000BC: settle on the spot and reveal ivory in the north and two more BGs. Min on Writing.

3250BC: We meet German spearman. It's up Bronze Working, Warrior Code, Wheel and Masonry but lacks Alphabet and Pottery. Both techs plus all our gold cannot get two techs. I decide to delay trading for a while as our curragh can meet anyone at anytime.

3200BC: We meet a KGB agent, who is up Bronze Working and Warrior Code. I get Wheel from Germany by Alphabet+Pottery. Wheel gets us Warrior Code + Bronze Working + 10g from Russia.

We have horses to our north.

We have two curraghs scouting at both directions. We have some nice land to settle.

By the way I disabled barbs in this variant, then I realized expansionist civs are totally useless? If so, we screwed up our best friend President Bush. :)

EDIT: I played 20 turns. Next 10 turns each.

looks good :) were did we meet russia?

imho, 1st settler should go for the river wheat to the NW. 1T E of the wheat preferred. 1T E or NE of the horsey looks good too. it would be interesting to see what's along those rivers.

heh. is that 3 flood plains wheat on the northen river..? if I am not wrong a town with granary next to those 3 would be able to poprush a worker every 2 turns at size 3-4 ...

Nice start. I hope W is nice to his neighbors. We have a lot of settling to do, it would be a shame if we had to g to war early!

I'm worried about W declaring everyone around him the Axis of Evil and getting his ass plowed before we can sail in and rescue him!

Preturn- We look alright

Summary

Our curraghs have found nothing new. Our eastern one has gotten sidetracked by some southern islands. It can head east towards more apparent land, as it's more likely to have other civs. I micro managed London to time up settler production with growth.

Our new explorations

I would like an escort to be ready with the settler, so I would have built a warrior or spear first, and maybe a rax at some point, since we'll mix unit with settler in London anyway. I just don't like leaving towns empty, consider Germany has a high aggressiveness.

I've got it.

Before I play I want to know where to place next city.

Made a quick dotmap, is this too tight? The towns will get up to 12 pop later on I think and 3 of them for sure, if one town is kept back in pop.
