I have recently installed Civ 3 on my computer with Microsoft Vista. I have played several campaigns and want to delete the saved programs but can not located them on my computer to delete.

Is there something I need to do to Vista in order to see these files and delete them? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

I am experiancing similar problems and definitly was able to see saves and manipulate them before.

Try looking for hidden files.
Go to Organize and Properties, then click hidden.

Thanks. That did itl

Just another night - and I sit here playing singles. Play: Civ 4 Golden ed. Difficulty: Warlord. Nothing out of the ordinary. BUT: Then it happens. Like so so many fu...ng times before - something is discovered (this time it was the Taoism that came as a gift to mankind) - and suddenly everything stops working: Civ4 has stopped working....Program doesn't answer,... bla bla blue...And the reason - for the 2693 time this message comes laughing in my face: There is a known compatibility problem with Microsoft Vista and Sid Meyer's Civ 4. Contact Firaxis..." Is there anything to do ? Can anyone help this semi-old Civ-aholic to keep up plaing civ in painful night as an alternative to popping pills? Civ4 is my form of overcoming backpain since 1998 after an accident broke my back. I get pillboxes - but I'd rather use my mind to alter my focus. NO better way than CIV4, opf what ? But lately my whole PC has stopped, and I am about to go BONKERS: HEEELP!
All my love and a hope for help from

Sorry to be dumb here. I have the same problem and can't see my Saves folder--just a folder called 'redist' in its place. I can't find any .sav files by searching, and can't place my GOTM .sav file so I can play it. I have specified that all Hidden files and folders are to be displayed in Vista.

I think you'd get better help posting this in the Civ 4 forums. This area is the Civ 3 forum. :)

Following on from my post above, and also noted in the 'Missing Saves WTH?' thread, I can find the files and their location by doing an advanced search. I just can't get them to display in a window, despite lots of 'Organize' and 'Properties' unclicking of the 'Hidden' check box. Go figure, Vista

Are you the Administrator on your machine? Are you logged in as the Admin?

gmaharriet: I believe so. I can find the files when searching--they're in a weird location--just can't see them normally when I access the folder.
