Hi all,
I recently reinstalled Vanilla Civ 3, updated to the most recent patch, and got down to playing after a 2 year hiatus. Things were going fine until I reached about 1000 AD, at which point I began getting persistent crashes to desktop. I could usually circumvent it by going back 3 or 4 turns in the autosave list, usually altering some action or another; I'd somehow get past the crash point in this way. I've been able to do this 2 or 3 times (once about every 100 years), and though it's tedious, it's worked. However, now I'm stuck in about 1305, and no matter how many turns I go back or what different courses I take, I'm getting a crash.
I've followed the suggestions in the stickied thread, and I don't recall having this problem in the past. Thanks.
