Can we get some details about where and when you lost the CD, as well as what you've done to try and find it?
actually, i guess it's not technically lost...i just don't know where exactly it is at the moment. I just graduated from college a couple of weeks ago, and all of my stuff went to corpus christi with my parents, and i'm in killeen at my sisters. so, it is somewhere in corpus (probably in a storage building), ropughly 300 miles away, and I am going through withdrawals...enough details for ya? 
You won't get that kind of help here then.
No matter how righteous your need, I don't think anyone here can help you. While Cedric has a site with patches to transform one version of Civ2 to another, essentially, the only types of patches and what not you will find here, or that we can point you to, are for those who already have some version of Civ2 on their computer. A moderator can confirm this, but I believe the forum rules call for banishment for even posting links to sites where you could download a working version of Civ (or any other "warez").
I feel your pain, but you will have to either shell out the extra bucks for another copy of the game, get your parents to dig out your copy, or suffer through the withdrawal. (n.b.: while painful, withdrawal is actually a good thing.)
