I recently purchased the "Sid Meiers Civilization IV: The Complete Edition" from Amazon software download. The final stage of the Amazon download process goes into an install, I think. At what I'm guessing is the end of the install process, I get an error message saying "Unable to open afp file C:\...\Desktop\Sid Meiers Civilization IV - The Complete\Civ4Complete.afp". Clicking the OK on the error message ends the install. The file identified in the error dialog is indeed missing. If I try to start the autorun.inf in the same folder, I get a message saying "Installation Failed". How do I get Civ4 to install?
Is there a reason I can't do it on my Windows 7 laptop?
I tried the same Amazon download on my XP Netbook, since the Amazon documentation never said it would work on Windows 7 and did say it would work on XP. I got the exact same results.
