Hello!

Got some problems while I tried to update Civ V. This recent patch, Steam won't update the game. It says 'update paused' or something like that. And when I'm trying to update the game, 'continue update', it starts to update it, and then- two seconds and stopped, paused, again, no update.

When trying to start the game, this error message shows up, 'Missing encryption key', having some problems updating the game. (free translation.)

So, I can't update or play.
Should I just delete the game from Steam and re-install it? Is my saves+achievements saved?

Oh, and I have PC, btw.

Any help? :)

A brief search seemed to suggest that the standard verifying the integrity of your game cache might be worthwhile. Right-click on the game, go into 'properties' and then 'local files' to find that option.

Did not help, came up with the error message saying 'verifying 7708 files failed, and they will be acquired again.' (free translation)

Well, I re-installed the game and now it works - with the newest patch. Thread can be closed.
