i was following the tutorial for adding new units in c3c but i when i went to the conquests/text file i didn't have the text file pediaicons.txt. is there anywhere i can download it?

Well, without it, your game won't run, so you probably do have it.

Look in the Civilization3\Conquests\Text\ folder.
Alternatively, you will have a copy in the Civilization3\Text\ folder.

... or select Start/Find/Files and Folders, or the equivalent in your OS, and ask it to look for pediaicons.txt on your hard drive.
