Background information: On my main computer, I have a shared folder under Documents. It has a lot of subfolders and files. Anyways I shared the folder. On both the main computer and laptop I mapped it as drive P (don't ask what it stands for
)
By the way, I don't use those Windows 7 "homegroup" things (my main computer is Vista anyways). It's just a regular shared folder.
EDIT: Forgot to mention this, but the Documents folder on the main computer is on the D partition.
Problem: On the laptop, random files and subfolders are missing from the mapped network drive. They also don't appear if you browse to it from the network locations. I haven't found any patterns except that it happens a lot to files that have been added/updated since I first shared the folder.
However when I access the mapped drive on the main computer (where it's local) it's fine there.
I've already tried de-sharing and re-sharing and re-mapping the folder (google) but it didn't work.
There's no way to edit any group policy on the laptop as its a home edition (google)
Also there's nothing about offline sharing (google).
Does anyone have any more suggestions?
