Have done two games with dutch both times when i queued up a warrior and switched to worker when the worker was completed the previous hammers put into the warrior were gone. I'd get whatever overflow was from the workers but that was it.
Didn't see this anywhere which is why I'm posting it here. Would expect something this obvious to be noticed before...

seems they loose a hammer each round. did i miss this in the patch notes?

do decay after a certain time, this has been the case since the original release of Vanilla, I do suspect that you mean that
