MIT for Wonders in the next game.

I don't understand why University of Oxford is buildable as a wonder in the Early Industrial Era (or Modern Age in Civ7) in all Civ games and associated with Science breakthrough. Isn't it what Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which itself built in 19th Century (fitted well within a trimeframe of respective civ games) attributes to the world more?

Should MIT takes the place of Oxford or should it coexists in the next Civ games (with Oxford shifted to the High Middle Ages, enabled with Education)?
