Mobile SAM finally fixed?

I remember putting 6 SAM around a city and one inside it, using that governor promotion for better air defense, and firing a missile against the city. Then none of the SAMs did anything. It was pretty lame. Would be nice if they do something now.

Victoria did some fairly thorough testing at some point and confirmed that Mobile SAMs could defend you against nukes delivered by bomber, but not nukes delivered by missiles. If they have a chance to intercept missiles now, that's a change introduced at some point. (EDIT: My bad. Serves me right for relying on memory. Victoria confirmed below they could always get missiles sent from silos, it's missiles fired from subs that AA doesn't seem to work on.)

It does not have to be a SAM, an AA of some type will do but a SAM is the best AA so best at stopping them.... basically
1. Practically any AA adjacent to the target hex can shoot down a silo fired nuke.
2. A bomber has to receive 51% from AA adjacent to the target square to stop the bomb (same if its was bombing a mine to remove it-strategic bombing)
3. I have never got AA to stop a sub fired nuke.... I have seen others claim they can
I have not played or tested for a while now and a large amount of testing was done with firetuner which has limits.

2. having fighter patrols around to make sure nuke bombers get shot down
3. having a missile cruiser on and around the city to take down sub fired nukes
4. having a giant death robot to see if it does anything
5. having the victor governor in the city to improve chances

maybe having all these or at least the first 3 will be enough to defend against nukes but will be very expensive to maintain for just 1 city?

Most tested in another thread. I even put a save in the thread so others could test. If you go to to the Civilization wiki for mobile SAM’s there is a link at the bottom to the thread because idiots kept changing my entry claiming there was no proof it worked.
I tested victor with bombers, seems to work.
Too busy ATM to test the robot but if I remember I will test and put here.
TBH I will prob wait for the patch.
