[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

I built a Gypsy Wagon as the Baselraph, moved it into a foreign city, but no "drain" option...what's wrong?

The "drain" appears as a building automatically after the wagon has stayed in the city for a full turn. And it doesn't get calculated in the finance advisor screen but it still adds up; eventually.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but didn't Dain the Caswallawn, one of the two Amurite leaders, have Charismatic as a trait in 0.30 ? I'm fairly sure I noticed him having it, because it made me think that it made him a really optimal 'wizardly' leader and that I'd finally be able to get the most magic juice out of the Amurite magic without needing to resort to Valledia's Command Posts which never really felt like quite the right 'touch' for them.

But alas, now I see (on finally getting around to install 0.31, heh.. >.>) that he's back to Philosophical? Or was all of that just some daydream/wishful thinking I had?
 
No, he never was Charismatic. He has always been Philosophical/Arcane (well, he had something else before Arcane was introduced, but this was before BtS and so the CHarismatic trait was not in the game yet either)
 
Just a quick question. I am looking for a giant or gigantic size map for fall from heaven. I have looked through this site and with my not so good browsing skills have yet to find one.

I don't think any have been made for the latest version of FFH... but I might be wrong strategyonly (I think that is his name) and others have made maps for he game before, so they might correct me if I'm mistaken, I'm guessing they still check this forum on regular basis as well ;)
 
In my last game, a lot of bears, wolfs and lions spawned, but I saw only one gorilla and not a single tiger throughout the game, although I had frequently a look with the woldbuilder. So no chance to build the Grand Menagerie :( . It would be nice either to get the spawning rates of the different animals a little bit more balanced, or to let the Grand Menagerie not requiring all the animals anymore.

Myself, I usually find too many Elefants and less other types of animals. usually before I get to subdue animal most of them are gone.

Is it just me, due to the fact I am playing Small / Normal sizes only?
If not, is it possible to move this treat to an earlier place on the tree?
 
If you really want to try and get Grand Menagerie, you could try completing Nature's Revolt, but that also gives the animals some nasty promotions. Then again, Grand Menagerie IS something that gives a free nice building and probably is meant to be VERY hard to get.
 
As the spawning of animals depends on the available terrain the actual animals in game largely depend on your map settings.
Nevertheless gorillas and tigers are very rare...
 
True. I'd not sure I've ever seen one on an "End of Winter" map, since there is very little jungle for them to spawn in, and since there si so much tundra for wolves and bears.

The fact that Nature's Revolt doesn't make any of the rarer animals is a problem too.
 
On Huge maps with Temperate, I have no problems finding one or two Tigers or Gorillas......capturing them or keeping them from eating my scouts is a a whole ’nother problem....
 
So out of idle curiosity, does Falamar have an "event" with Hannah the Irin as well? xD

I ask because I never tend to have duplicates of one Civ in the same game so I'd probably never find out by random chance, but in case he does I might be tempted to ensure I have that opportunity open to me sometime just for the sheer hilarity of it. :lol:

Yes, he does. I've never actually gotten any Pron events, but I have read them all in CIV4GameText_FFH2.xml. Hannah's is:

On a more woeful note however I seem unable to start up any singleplayer games of FFH all of a sudden. I'm patched up to date and all, and I'm guessing the problem may be the media pack because it crashes right around when it should be loading the intro 'video', and I've started up multiplayer games without any problem (using the exact same settings so it's not End of Winter overloading my computer or anything like that), so.. 1 and 1 making 2 would suggest that the media pack is the culprit.

So I'm asking myself.. What gives? I installed it into the right place and all, so I'm a bit at a loss for ideas as to what is the problem. :crazyeye:
 
Had a fun Tower of Mastery win playing Khazak for the first time - great flavor! One problem I had - I couldn't build the Mithril Golem although I had the Runes Holy City, with tablets, and Mithril hooked up. Oh, and for the third game in a row, the Barblich ate a civ in the first twentyish turns. Is this as designed?
 
The Mithril Golem requires the Armageddon Counter to be at a certain level (70-80? I forget) before it becomes buildable.

As for Barbatos, he's a nasty piece of work to be sure. Whether it's 'intended' or not that he can kill a civ early, well.. That all depends if anyone has the poor luck to start right next to where he spawns mostly. :lol:

.. Okay, so as to my previous question about the media pack.. I retract that statement. The media pack works fine. I tinkered around in frustration some, and for some really curious reason it worked just fine as soon as I stopped trying to create a Custom_Continents map. But as soon as I set it back to that setting, for some reason I get a CtD just as it's about to load the intro 'video'. :crazyeye:
 
I thought that I had played the Clan of Embers civ since the release of .31, but perhaps not. Currently playing this civ, I have found that the old barrows (the building that caused your units to be doubled each time you produced them) is apparently no longer available. Was this feature removed at the .31 level? It was one of the few reasons I ever pick the Clan since, for most other reasons (other than protection from the barbarians for a certain amount of time and their really cool units) they really suck...
 
I am playing as the Lanuns, and when I built the Champion unit it came out as red blobs. I checked the civilopedia entry for it and got more red blobs.
Is the unit not implemented yet? I removed the mod and re-installed everything (FfH2, e pack, and media files), but that didn't help.

Excellent mod by the by. Feels like a completely new game.

Edit: Nevermind, Boarding Party is the replacement Champion unit.
It is just the Champion pedia entry that has a blob, because the unit isn't supposed to exist.
My bad. : )
