[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

Downloading as I type this....

Just wanted to say another huge thnx to you and all the team for giving us all such a wonderous Mod for nothing... I can not even begin to imagine how much work you guys have invested in this and you never seem to get tired of answering peep questions (even if you have answered then a hunfred times prev :lol: ).

Cheers guys, and have a great Christmas/Holiday.. you deserve it! :)

Gameflood is confusing,

You click on play now, then click on download via browser, then it returns you to what looks like the same screen,.....

YOU CLICK ON PLAY NOW AGAIN and now you have a new option....

download via browser.

It just looks like your returned to the same screen.

I guess you remove the .025 version and install the new .30 version, or does it install over the .025?

It installs in a separate folder. You don't need to remove 0.25 in case you wish to go back to it (allthough I can't imagine why ;) )
 
I would go back to .25 if .30 has any bugs and such that would be the only reason for me.

Any help here would be appreciated, I can't even get a 'download via browser' screen.

I have tried the following steps:

1. I went to the first page in this thread, and under 'Downloads' I clicked on Fall From Heaven II 0.30.

2. This then sends me to another screen, under the URL http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1. I then hit the 'download file' option.

3. This took me to gameflood, at http://www.gameflood.com/Mashup/Index.cfm?intModID=11919.

4. After trying to figure out how to download the file, I finally hit 'play'. This gave me a pop up, where I could try 'play now' or install files'. I tried 'install files'.

I waited some time, and after installation, I couldn't find the the game when I loaded Civ IV BTS and looked for a mod. I thought something went wrong since it didn't ask for a place to install.

5. I repeated steps 1 through 3, and then instead of hitting 'play', I clicked on Mod. On the second page, I found Fall From Heaven II 2.0 version 0.30. There again are 'install' and 'play' options.

6. I tried install, and it come up right away saying 'ready'. I tried hitting play and I get an error message.

7. I turned off my machine and reloaded, and the same events occurred.

So how can I install this on my hard drive? I never got the message Kael mentions, to 'download via browser.

I don't know about anyone else, but the only two options I get when I hit "Play" is "Play Now" and "Install Files'. Both of these bring up the "Game Flood" screen that starts attempting to download (?) the game. I did go through the "Install Files" and, afterwards, saw no evidence that Ffh .30 had been loaded on my computer.

I'm really anxious to try the game (I first logged in at 12:02 this morning, but didn't go to the right spot) so any suggestions would be really appreciated. Do you possibly have to be a member of Game Flood?

Thanks for the help, Nikis-knight. Alas, it doesn't say that -- it only says 'Play now', which is on top, or 'Install files', which is on the bottom, when I go to the drop down under 'play'. I don't get a 'Download by browser' option.

Do you have to be a member of Gameflood to use this feature?

Well, I answered my own question so far as being a member of Game Flood to see the "Download via Brower" option. I joined up with Game Flood and still only see the earlier two options -- "Play Now" and "Install Files". I also right-clicked on the "Play" and attempted to "Save Target As" with no luck.

Again, any suggestions that will assist me in downloading Ffh .30 will be VERY appreciated.

I have the same problem... since .25.

I have tried every way they told me, but still I can't download it.
Have the GameFlood installed, and I am wondering for what.

By the way... congratulations to the team for such an excelent mod.

Ive downloaded and played 2 games allready. I really like just about everything but there is a change to one of my favorite units that makes me want to cry in shame.

Please change Mary's name back to Typhoid Mary. Unlike her sisters such as Debbie Diptheria or Lindy Lockjaw Typhoid Mary has evolved from the old wives tales hundreds of years ago to be a modern cult Icon far richer in history and flavor then "Mary Morbus"

Well, I believe you, but it's plain as day for me. are you using a different browser? IE for me.
Or maybe you need to enable cookies?
