Mod issues

Hello everyone,

I'm new here and have a slight problem. I recently bought a physical copy of civilization 5, the normal game work good, however, i downloaded a couple mods and senerios. here is where the problem is. I set up a mod game and when i star, the game ends declaring me the winner before i even take my first turn, and the continue option doesent work. nor do the dl'ed senerios show up in the custom game panel. I'm not very computer smart so i am wondering what could i be doing or have done wrong? and how can i fix these issues? Thanks in advance

For example, I sometimes found the certain maps prevent 'set up game' from appearing in the start menu. Identify which map is causing the problem and disable it in the mods section. Some mods can also corrupt the tech tree, again identify the mod which is causing this. Only download one map mod at a time, so if anything goes wrong it is easy to find the culprit.
