Mod not showing in the menu

I downloaded RFCE 1.1 and unzipped it to the BTS mods folder, but for some reason, when I open BTS and go the the "Beyond the Sword Content" menu, RFCE does not show up. Other mods I have downloaded, like the updated version of standard RFC, do appear in the menu, and work fine.

Any ideas how I can fix this?

You picked the "load a mod" option, right?

Ah, if I just open that, then it works. Doesn't show up in the mod menu though. I'll make a temporary shortcut to the link you posted.

It's strange though, that it doesn't work from the BtS menu

Happened to me too.
Doesn't show in bts content or play scenario.

yeah not sure how to play this. the mod loads ok, and says refceurope in the corner, but you cant start a scenario

why? doesn't it show any maps when you click on "szenario" or is it greyed out? maybe a screenshot could help...

@ topic: I had this with SoI but not RFC Europe, I think it depends on how you install it or something, because since I reinstalled Civ and BUG it now shows up. (However I can't play DoC as there is no text in the interface )

when i click on scenario it shows the original basic scenarios that come with the game, but not all of them

Think I got the problem from archcapitalist. I can load the RFCEurope Mod but I can't find where to play RFCE. It's like normal BtS.

Try Advanced - Load a Mod.

Yeah, I did that, then went to "Single Player" and afterwards clicked on "Play Scenario", but as you can see above RFCE didn't show up in the menu.

Try running the map file:
Your_BtS_folder\Mods\RFCEurope\PrivateMaps\RFCEurope.CivBeyondSwordWBSave

It should lead directly to the mod start (where you choose your civ), no matter what language do you play the game with

I guess, but make sure that the mod is inside the right folder
Also, you can always try switching to English language instead of German
Maybe the lack of some translations can cause an issue as well

This is where I got RFCE.

And I just tried the English thing. Bit it's the same result...just in English language.

Extract the RFCEurope folder out of the RFCEurope_1.1 folder and put that in the Mods folder.

I've done that but a new problem appeared: When I try to load the Mod RFC Europe now, the computer goes back to the desktop but that's it. Nothing else happens. It's like closing BtS. It seems to load the Mod, because it exits the "normal" game but then it does not load the Mod.

Wait a minute and see what happens. RFC mods can take a bit load.

First of all it seems for a moment that it is starting but then nothing happens.
