[For Warlords]Im starting a project to alter civ in a semi-fantesy way. The first thing i will be focusing on is the flavor. I would like other features to be added aswell, but i will be focusing on simply xml first. everything is still in the design phase right now.

i would like to shoot for 18(possibly up to 24)religions(civ's),with a few leaders each. Religions would be replaced with Holy Books. Religions with the same Holy Books maybe still not have great relations, but will like others who follow the same scriptures. To avoid offending people i was thinking having this all so far fantesy based, but as a lover of mythology,im open to what you guys think of that aswell.

While 2-3 unique units(and buildings if possible) would also be created, most of the current units would be as is,with a few more in certain areas that maybe lacking. Maybe modying the existing ones slightly aswell.

the tech tree, wonders and buildings would be overhauled aswell. a few eras with added techs aswell.

Id also like to create somewhat longer completion times to allow for more warfare with out adding loads of techs. similar to Ryhe's and Fall(check it out if you havent yet)

Civics will also be overhauled. Here is an area i would like to spend a decent amount of time on to create as strategic options as possible with out sacrificing gameplay.

Lastly id like to make a list of a compilation of mods to add as well, such as the inquisition unit(all with author permission of coarse)

Like i said right now im looking for suggestions to make this as good as a mod as possible. Any one who'd like to help with the xml please pm. Any one whod like to help with ideas please feel free to post.

Created. Do a mythological pantheon, along the lines of Age of Mythology.
Have a whole polytheistic world in which new gods are created by being researched. However, there must be some disadvantage to not just getting as many religions as possible. Strong advantages to state rels, or even civics with negatives for number of religions in city.

About using some inquisitor mod:
Unless you can write python or C++ code or get someone helping you who can you have to "pick your battles" as far as using pythona and SDK mod components. Without programming skills you can't necessarily merge multiple mods effectively--maybe they will not interfere with each other (even if they don't use the same files) and maybe they will. So perhaps you should pick your favorite favarite Python only mod and your favorite favorite SDK only mod and just use those. Or if you really really love a mod that uses Python and SDK both use that one and do everything else in XML.

I can do XML, now, for the most part, but it's kind of a pain in the neck. If I'm really excited and I'm working on a project I'm into it's gratifying, but just coding up somebody elses stuff is sheer drudgery.

I got first excited as I thought you were about create something along the lines of the game Populous, which is one of my favourite games and would be nice to see it as some kind of mod but neverthless your sounds interesting.
