Great to see all the updates! Frankly GarretSidzaka, I'm a little surprised you're balancing all this modding and Oblivion. Oblivion is what stopped me from modding in recent months, but Warlords brought me back in. Also, does anyone know what makes a mod compatible or incompatible with Warlords? I'd like to make this and a few other mods I've worked on compatible.

Holy Sh!t bro! I havent heard from you for like 37 years! Yeah, oblivion is pretty bad on the lifestyle. I actually taking an oblivion break right now. my alienware runs it nicely.

I am doing a bottom up remake of the mod, so it wont matter about what is compatible or not, coz i'm starting from scratch on the codebase.

here's something cool for you Robo, look in the mods folder for warlords and you will see something called the "barebones mod". that is what im using to make Second Revolution 2.0

I plan on using as many of the units and buttons you made in the second version, so don't expect to be pulled from the readme credits. and feel free to jump back in as soon as you finish the main quest, you oblivion crack head :D

Did you know that the Second Revolution made it into PC gamer magazine?

It seriously made it into PC Gamer!?! Thats awesome! Was it a review of it or just an article about it?

You likey?

"The Vanguard military civic describes an elite military force that usually answers directly to the ruler of the nation. A Vanguard could be the ruler’s personal bodyguard unit, or might just be the elite (and somewhat ceremonial) soldiers of the nation. Examples of Vanguards throughout history include janissaries of the Ottoman Empire, who were under direct control of the Sultan, or the Praetorians of Imperial Rome, who served to protect the Emperor. A “Vanguard” could also describe the military-political revolutionary force in a communist revolution. This type of Vanguard often does not disband even after the revolution is complete, and still exist to guard the legitimacy of the communist party that created them. The Red Army of the USSR is an example of this.
The advantages of having a Vanguard-type military are that the Vanguard is efficiently controlled by simply the ruler’s (or party’s) whim. Vanguards also tend to be very well trained, as a wise ruler would want a very powerful guard. Since Vanguards often remain legitimate to the people through claims of patriotism and existing to protect the sovereignty of the nation, the people will often be happy and feel protected by their presence. The disadvantage include that Vanguards are often a very SMALL elite core, and may have a difficult time if they are thinly stretched across the nation.

Cool. Do you like my Vanguard article?

Yeah, that was good. It's going to have to go into the civiliopaedia soon. I have to actually create the file, but once i have the entries named in the unit/civics/techs i will create the xml and cross name it to match, then its just simple cut and paste. And i think having them posted on the forum lets us have the chance to discuss them or modify them together. I think i might put the ones i write up here too.

OK ok ok, i finally beat oblivion after two weeks of constant playing (i racked up 100 hours!) i also beat the guild missions too!

so now i am going to start playing civilzation once more. its kinda scary to know that there is a greater gamer-crack than civ out there

You just now beat it?!?
Oh well, what skills did you have?

Also, what else do you need help with (as in this mod) ?

Dude, i was holding off for the guild quests. i beat em all except brotherhood. i was level 29, master blade, master heavy armor, master block, max endurance max strength

UPDATE FOR THE GAME!!!!

Civ4ScreenShot0001.jpg

hurrah!
So what units need to be made?

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=4398753&postcount=299

this is the list above.

to highlight, i need to turn a unit which i already have skinned in 1.62c version called "resistants" which i want to rename "partisans". i also want them to toss molotov cocktails on the grenadier animations and change the grenades skin to flaming bottles!!

the skin is done, and the models for the skin are the worker and the spy, but i don't have any clue to get worker and spy models to go onto the grenadier animation!?!?!?

Svweet! Is the music for the menu gonna be "Sleep Now With The Fire"?
