Right here bud.
You guys make mods. I download them and Worship you. You update mods and I delete the old Mod and download the new one.

because there is no way for the game to recognize that the old mod is now obselete and the new mod is replacing it. Some mods I download and they never actually get installed. There are alot of great mods out right now and only 80% of them are actuyally being used because of some small deisgn flaws in the mod buddy download system. Hopefully these issues are addressed and soon.

Not sure if this is a software issue or a mod issue. The mod has a version number and if that is not updated, how would the program realize it has to update its version ?

At least you can download mods, the mod browser does not show any mods for me....

this is a mod browser issue... if we update correctly the version number, it shows in your mod browser the oldest version, you need to delete one by one the old version in order to be able to use the newest one.
so it works but it is a bit of a pain right, and I doubt most people are aware of that.

which is sad too is that download counts and votes don't carry from one version to the next...

The service does not allow you to upload a new version without changing the name or version number of the mod (you get a 'duplicate record' error). Either way, mods are tracked by their Mod ID (not name) which is a unique code. The Mod Browser service uses this code to know if the mod's been updated.

It would be nice if modders could choose to reset the download count or not (for minor releases)... but resetting all new versions does have advantages. If a mod takes a nosedive in quality, people won't keep downloading it thinking it's good.
