With 10% more Kael than normal, this episode 11 of ModCast (48m32s) is a "Kael Spectacular". Listen to the creator of Fall from Heaven reveal shocking secrets!! Featuring core panelists Wouter "Locutus" Snijders, Tony "GarretSidzaka" Kiehl, Kenneth "Impaler[WrG]" Ferland and Oscar "Elhoim" Velzi with first-time guest host Derek "Kael" Paxton.

ModCast is a bi-weekly ~45-minute audio production of Apolyton Civilization Site and is an ongoing effort to give the Civ community an interactive voice on Civilization modding; its sibling show PolyCast focuses on Civ strategy. To date, ACS is the only community on the web to produce its own Civilization podcasts.

You guys have a very complimentary trio of voices. They are so different than one another, that even if you guys are all talking at the same time you can still follow the conversation.

I noticed wouter's comment about BtSCreation not having enough climate diversity, and I wanted to point out that the original creation.py does work with BtS, and all resources will be present. The only problem with it is that with BtS you are more likely to have some Civs with rediculously bad starting locations. In FFH some Civs actually prefer some of those bad locations, thus freeing up some of the better ones for 'normal' Civs.

I think you are joining two of our voices...

Well.... I guess that means I was completely wrong in my observation.

Let me make a slight revision:

You guys sound so similar to one another, I can't even tell who's who.

Good episode!

Interesting to hear Kael's comments about when the SDK first came out. Us first wave of modders remember those days with fear, nightmares and eye twitches.

nice episode!!!

and well... i have to admit... we have nipples :D there is my handmodelled (;)) succubus unit :)

Finally all caught up on listening to these Modcasts (except for the 4 which aren't hosted properly or something.... Episodes 4-7 IIRC). Pretty cool to have been mentioned, mostly just to find out people pronounce my Forum Name correctly :)

Nah, maybe Wouter and me sound alike, but Ken sounds like an elf and Tony like a dwarf.

Dang, I was trying to make a nice compliment and I screwed it up. :gripe:

Hey Sto! Only now, now that it is too late, do I understand your signature!...

:hmm: Try downloading the affected episodes again.

If the problem(s) is/are persisting, send me a PM with as many particulars as you can (e.g. what link(s) you clicked on, error message(s) if any, web browser/MP3 player you're using).

They all worked this time. Thanks for whatever you did (even if it was just to tell me to try again!)

I had already fixed it, but didn't get around to telling you yet (though technically that was Tony's job ;))
