If this question has alreadt been asked then plaease accept my sincere apologies! Anyway, is there any way to mod cities in Civ5 using SDK and if so is there a tutorial on how or could anyone explain to me how?

Yeah, you need to be a LOT more specific.

If you want to place a city on an existing game's map, or edit what buildings are in a given city, that's FireTuner.
If you want to create a scenario where a bunch of cities are pre-placed, that's WorldBuilder.
If you want to change how cities work in general, like their growth equations or how fast their defense ratings scale, that's ModBuddy's XML.
If you want to change what happens when a city is founded or captured or something, that's ModBuddy's Lua.

So explain exactly what you want to do, and people can then tell you whether it's possible and if so, which tool to use.

Apologies for the lack of clarity!
I want to create a scenario where a bunch of cities are pre-placed. Also is there a map of "our Earth" out there for download?

I am also looking to modify a map of a saved game so that when I go back to that game, the terrain is modded. Is there a way to do that with World Builder?

To create a scenario with pre-placed cities, you want to use the WorldBuilder as Spatz advised. I have almost no experience with that however, so that's all I can say. I believe there are some Earth maps with the game, although starting positions are random. Go to the advanced setup screen to see all the map options. I'm sure there are plenty of other options too; just look through the mod browser and/or check out the custom maps forum here.

That is more difficult. You can modify terrain via the tuner, but it's not easy. You have to use console commands and then also save and reload to actually see the changes.

Looks like I spoke too soon. I try to create a scenario where specific players start at specific spots AND every player gets a fair share of land and resources. Hwoever loactions stil randomize and everyone is on top of each other. Oh well I guess that I'll keep on trying!
