Modeler working for work!

I love civ 4, and love making mods. I'm not very experienced with Civ 4 modding, but I would love to help out how I can. I don't know animations, skinning, uvw's, or bone structures... But I can model pretty well, if thats not too bold to say.

Anyways, does anybody need anything modeled for them? I'd prefer something fairly modern, and not living... I've never done a human before, not sure how well I could do it. Just let me know what you need, and how many polys it should be, and I'd love to work on some things for the community.

Please though, only ask if you plan on incorporating it into a mod.

Heh, its all good. I am working on a C-5 that someone requested in the requests thread, but I'm open for more requests.

Currently I've resurrected my plans to redo the Air section of the game since it got shorted so badly (2 fighters, 2 bombers; give me a break).

The units I need currently are:

A WW2 era Torpedo Bomber
An A6 Intruder
A f100-C Super Saver

Helicopters:
A Black Hawk (with two skins, one Black one Gray so it can also be a Sea King)
An AH-64 Apache
A Commanche

If you or anyone else could get these I'd be forever gratefull.

I second the request for an AH-64 Apache, only I want the AH-64D Apache Longbow. I have posted a 3-Plan View and some pictures in the request forum, however if you want more of them I can give you more to work with. More camo patterns, more pictures of them in action, etc. But I wouldn't mind if it had as an attack animation both the chaingun and rockets or Hellfire Missiles launched. I have posted as one of the pictures a picture of an Apache Longbow Attack in Action. Actually would it be that hard to make the AH-64A Apache and then add on the Radar Dome? I just love the AH-64D. It is my favourite aircraft of all time. (Please note that I define aircraft as heavier than air vehicles that fly) I realise that most may apply it strictly to a plane but I don't. Full credit and a million thank-yous to any unit maker that creates this my favourite aircraft. I just want to see the AH-64D Apache Longbow in MaxRiga mod to its full credit, able to destroy some Soviet Tanks.

Even a model would be useful Raslin. It would give me some opportunity to get someone to skin it if a model is done. I really would appreciate it if you made the model for the AH-64D Apache Longbow. I really am just adding in the
AH-64A Apache for Crighton although all the AH-64D is from the outside is an AH-64A with a radar dome on top. So it would be fairly easy to make two models- an AH-64A and an AH-64D and then hand them over to someone who can finish them. Thanks, Healz.

basically we're the big idea guys, you, nautil, conquests, et all, are the actual talent. I think I have good ideas (expanding the air wing massively both in concecpt and units) but have no practical ability to make it a reality unless someone else is there to back me up.

btw could you make models having only blueprints of side view and perhaps some photos to view unit from different angle? - It's a tough to make it cause it needs a lot of imagination and skills . i have few ww2 units wich have only side view and too tough for me

Thanks for the compliment, I usually model with more polys, and not mny planes, so this was something new nd fun, hehe.

On skins, I need to get photoshop on this computer, before anything. I will probably try to learn how to, though UVW maps are something I hate with a burning passion, lol.

On the request, possibly. I've done more with less. I modeled a russian T-95 from a side-view line drawing, and no pictures...

yeah you're right - pm wasn't delivered i don't lnow why i was sending it to you - but there's no sign of it in my pm box . I'll send the new right away with some request for models (it could be without textures and animations)

about the uvw unwrap - hehe - yeah i don't like it too - real boring, after some time (usually after 2-3 hours) it becomes real torture

when i'll find more time i could help you with some skinning

Remove all that small details that can be modelled by texture. Model ERA boxes as one big box. Same for the gun barrel - make it as one long cilinder.

AsioAsioAsio if you can shoot the request for WW2 units across to me, I may have some 3 and 4 Plan views of the WW2 units you want. I have a veritable library of blueprints for different equipment from various sources. That might help a bit, in the creation. Healz.

That model isn't for Civ 4, it was made for Battlefield 1942. Regardless, I've lost the model to computer wipes anyways. It was just to show an example.
