modeling programs?

ok, is thear any modeling program i can use to make some changes to units. such as adding some kinda new helm, or giveing the hoplite a pike ect ect.

or maby even model my own new units?

plz list some good programs, and whear i can get them *store or website*
and if posible, aprox. price.
