Oof, not great they need to do it again.
I think it's overexaggerating. The UI surely needs some improvements, but it looks good and surely doesn't need to be rebuilt from scratch.

Do you have a source for that?
It was discussed on this forum, for example here: https://forums.civfanatics.com/thre...t-worth-separate-threads.691360/post-16746222

Just comparing old screens with newer ones, most of the UI was scrapped and redone.

What time (New York) will the patch be available. About to start a new game, but will wait for new patch.

was going to ask the same (but GMT) as I have a day off today, local public holiday, plus ive bought a new monitor which im persuading myself is for all sorts of reasons, but really its because I think playing on a 13" MacBook screen is the reason im struggling to get into Civ VII, but id love to start a new game with the patch.

I've played Civ on a 15" laptop and it just isn't as satisfying. It's tough to see details on a 16:9 screen that small.

I've been thinking about plugging my laptop into my TV and getting an x-box controller.

I assume I should disable/remove all mods before trying this new patch when it hits? Or do you think it will disable them when applied?

Is it possible this can convert existing games to be crossplay compatible or only new ones?
I also assume my mods would only work in the in-progress Antiquity game and their trigger effects would be gone If I loaded Exploration on another device, correct?

It's generally best practice to disable mods immediately after a patch. That being said, there's no harm in trying UI mods as they don't effect your save games. If they look wonky, save, go to main menu, disable, and reload.

1.3GB on Steam.

I didn't get to finish my current game yet! I'll do that now so I can start a new game after lunch.
