Modern Colosseum Skin

I am not the greatest artist and I also am not very good with using GIMP and stuff like that to that so I use the sucky MS Paint. I came up with this which I think looks like a stadium. I did not do the middle part because I was not sure what to put there. after I get some opinions on this I will add some more to it.

To Install:
Blue means that you already have the file/folder
Red means that you will make this folder to install the Modern colosseum skin.
Put the file in My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\CustomAssets\art\structures\buildings\colosseum
To put it into a mod put it into Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Mods\[mod name]\Assets\Art\structures\buildings\colosseum
*You may have to make files to put in your mod*

Personaly I dont think it looks all that Modern because it still retains the round (ok actualy an Octagon) shape ware as a modern stadium would be more Oval shaped and have things like lights and a scoreboard. The destinct arcitecture of most buildings means a simple re-skining will usualy not be enough to make a new building.

Start looking into manipulating or changing the buildings shape (that requires some high end graphics tools but everyone here would be glad to help you). A realy cool modern Stadium would be highly desirable and I could see lots of people adding it to Mods. So basicaly

It's easy to make the nif egg-shaped with the Nif-Viewer. And the best thing is:
Buildings and Units can have ancient AND modern graphics.

Hmmm, indeed, it would be very easy to make this thing more elongated along one side and maybe also shorter, and then you can reskin it to look like a football field or something like that. Check out my NIF tutorials on how you could do that.

Get rid of aquaducts in the modern era! I've always thought they look so ridiculous at that point.

I heard somewhere, that also buildings can have modern art define.
I'd like to add the modern colosseum to the existing colosseum, to have the same effect as with units, when they change their look to modern.

Well, I thought that it was possible, but than I took a closer look at it.
The lighthouse has two different graphics, but just one artdef-Tag in the civ4buildings.xml. The trick is: there are 2 nifs in the art folder and dds.files for every of that nif files.
I don't think that this would work with other models

Well I am just doing this "modernizing" for mods that are more modern because it is strange seeing a stone colosseum in the modern era.
