Hello hello,
This is my first post, how exciting :crazyeye:
Anywho, I'm a Civ IV Rhye's and Fall addict and I was curious if and what modmods were compatible with Macs and how they are correctly installed, as I see much of the downloadable content is usually PC specific.

Essentially, I've been interested in making Byzantium playable, as well as incorporating Korea, the Native Americans, the Zulu, and the Celts into the game.

I'm generally new to both Rhye's and Fall as well as my Macbook, so I wasn't sure if there was a download available or if I myself could just tweek things around. If this has been covered before, I apologize but hope to be redirected to the appropriate thread.

Thanks very much

The only advice that can be given is this: Buy an old PC for running CivIV and RFC. There is no point, what-so-ever, to play a PC game on a Mac, especially if you wanna mod said PC game - or run other people's mods. Because, as I said, its a PC game. Get over the whole Mac thing. The sooner people get this, the better off will they be.

The alternative, of course, is to not play PC games. I guess just having a Mac is that much better, or so would people try to convince me.

edit: Oh, the opening post was in fact the user's first ever post. My apologies for the harsh welcome...

I don't know much about virtualization, but isn't it that nowadays running a dual-boot or simply VM (virtual machine) Windows on Mac trivial? Then you can run PC games without buying a new comp. Some common Mac software for this is Boot Camp (for dual boot) and VMware & Parallels for VM: http://www.macwindows.com/winintelmac.html

CIV4 modding of mac version = NULL

I think that the Mac crowd is hell-bent on playing the Mac version of CivIV. But it would be cheaper to buy another version of the game, instead of buying a both the game and a computer.

Really, use Crossover Games and install Windows Civ IV via that
