Modular Civ: Venetian Republic

I like the mod, however I get a crash to desktop whenever I try to construct the Piazza San Marco, how can I fix this?

I am also getting this CTD when ever I push the button to start building San Marco.

Really? I'll test it out. can you post a save game before you try and construct it?

I started a game from scratch to test it. I gave myself the Sailing tech via worldbuilder, then tried to start the San Marco...crashes every time in every game setting.

This mod is for BTS right or just Civ 4, and what version of BTS?

Great news! I fixed the issue, and PM'd you the fix. It had to do with the Art Defines XML file for the button.

forgot to add the new pic

Hi all,

I've started a game as Venice and I truly like it so far!

I loved the fact that it is modular and I can use it with History in the Making. HiTM allows for a 2nd UU to each Civ, so if there are any ideas for it, it could be arranged. What about the Bucintoro, or Bucentaur? It feels a little strange that Venice has no naval UU...

There are a few things I noticed that could be corrected:

1- it's San Dona' di Piave. There should be an apostrophe (') and not an accented letter (à) because it is an ellipsis from San Donato. In my version anyway the accented letter does not show up correctly (it becomes San DonÃ, evidently something wrong happened at an UTF-8 level).

2- There's a problem with Scorzè as well. The accented letter gets mangled again. I am afraid other cities with accented letters (I see Fossò) might have the same problem.

3- There's Iesolo and Jesolo; they are the same city; one of them should go, perhaps Padova (Padua) could be put in its place. Other cities that might be added are Altino, Aquileia, Mestre.

4- I think it should be Palazzo Ducale and not Ducale Palazzo :-)

Thanks again for this fine civ.

Ekmek, I just want to know if the Galleas is animated ? When I made it, it was, but with Warlords and BtS, the animation didn't work anymore, even with the old galley.kfm

Wery tanks for make this civ...
but... i think is best if the doge, used the most rich short...
the venice reppublic is a very rich reppublic.

And i think, the best units is a strogn fleet, no a explorer.
the best bulding, i think is like a comercial port
and i think correct give a spy bonus.

sorry for my english :) i hope you understund

If it could interests You i've made a reskin for the FEDELISSIMI SCHIAVONI (literaly: high fidelity big slaves... but the venetians named slavic people as Schiavoni, and I think not as slaves but derivated from the roman latin "slavus". So You have to mean Big Slavic People)

the image i've already posted :http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=6734302&postcount=16
i liked the blue one, so I made him

it's a reskin of the mongolian musketman, without the shield and with the sword reshaped, it wears boots instead it should wear shoes, it uses redcoat animations. It's not a state of art reskin but I hope it could be useful... :)
In my game it appears a little better... :)

Wow... this is the city I live.... yes it is true but it's true too that often we (citizens of San Dona') write the "a" accented instead of with the apostrophe... that should be correct... but very often other Italians, and this make us angry (not to much in reality), are unable to say San Dona' DI Piave and say San Dona' DEL Piave :D
