Monitor makes VERY annoying noise

It’s just one of those little things where they are so small, but annoy you to insanity. Whenever I change my resolution, or turn on, or it decides to make this noise - not loud, but screeching noise, it completely drives me crazy. Can’t even focus on anything! Not games -- nothing.

When I move it around, it stops for a min, but then starts again...

I like the monitor but it looks like I’m gonna have to spend money for a new one, just for this small irritation thing it does. I wanna work on a different resolution, but it makes it almost impossible.
I have no idea how to fix this problem.

It's kind of like a sharp, screaming noise, but it isn't very loud.

Try using a different refresh rate.

How do you change that?

Right click on the desktop, select Properties. Click on the Settings tab. Find the Advanced button. This will open a new dialog box. Find the Monitor tab. If you can change the refresh rate, you'll have the option here.
