MoO2: Does AP help with missiles?

[Minor Annoyance]

Armoured missiles say it doubles hitpoints, but are those armour points it adds? If not then I shouldn't bother with point defence AP weapons.

I think, do not know, it provide some armor for the missile. This is like armor for the ships. It has to be destroyed by firing, before the missile takes damage. I do not use it as rule.
