MoO2 Mac Help

I recently picked up a classic imac to play my ancient copy of masters of orion 2 again, but am finding that it crashes within 5 minutes of starting the game. The colors get all out of wack, to the point that you can't read the racial traits in the race design part, or the tech tree when choosing your research. I've been looking around the web for a couple days, and found that this is one of the few active forums left dedicated to MoO2. You are my only hope! Any help is appreciated.
Currently, I have OS9.2.2 installed. I'll be checking back frequently, so if any other information would help you diagnose my situation, please ask.

Not sure if this helps, but I ran into this a few years back. I think it happen after I upgrades some of my PC components. I think it was motherboard, HD and memory and graphics. Anyway the way I got it to work was to use a program called Mo'Slo.

It also fixed the sticky cursor issue. Now I do not know if it works on a Mac and worse it is not free.

Thanks for the quick response. It doesn't work for mac, but I think its the right direction. I seem to remember there being memory issues with the game. Currently updating the firmware, so hopefully this will fix the problem any other advice/help would be muchly appreciated.

::EDIT:: Well, crap. Need to get a new pram battery. Now to scavenge the 5 dollars for one...
::EDIT:: well, installed the pram battery, and the problems persist. I don't know what to do anymore. haha help please!
